One of our prestigeous clients in Charlotte, NC is looking for an Oracle PL/SQL DEVELOPER 

 

Location : Charlotte, NC

This individual will assist with the enhancement and support of their established data warehouse, data marts and reporting systems. The ideal candidate would be proficient in database development in large-scale and complex database environments. They would have good working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix and dimensional/STAR schema data models and data marts.

 

This position reports to the Oracle Database Team Lead and is a full time position within the Reporting group.

 

•              Demonstrate expertise in the data warehouse/data mart life cycle, development of dimensional and relational models.

•              Collaborates with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications.

•              Assists in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.

•              Participates in the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.

•              Oracle PL/SQL experience with views, stored procedures and functions.

•              Identify opportunities to tune and stabilize the application.

•              Collaborate with report developers in troubleshooting data issues and tune database queries.

•              Liaising with Application Support in resolving data-to-day data load issues.

•              Work alongside DBAs and SAs co-coordinating releases or solving day-to-day issues.

 

•              Minimum of 5 Years of working experience in Oracle database development

•              Minimum of 3 Years of working experience in a large-scale Data Warehouse environment

•              Expert level skills in Unix and shell scripting

•              Proficiency in Dimensional modeling

•              Familiarity with translating business/functional requirements into technical requirements

•              Ability to use defect and change tracking software tools.

•              Excellent problem solving and communication skills

•              Strong sense of responsibility, service-minded attitude and ability to multi-task

•              Working knowledge of any reporting tool is preferred
