One of our prestigieous financial clients in NYC is looking for a Test Lead/ Project Manager

Test Lead/Project Manager

The role we are looking to fill is a ‘Test Lead/PM’ at VP level to work in OTC Cleared Derivatives Technology group. The key responsibilities of the successful candidate are listed below.

This candidate will be member of a global transformation program targeted to align the system architecture of Futures and OTC Derivatives Clearing to gain operational and technology efficiencies and provide improved client experience. Primary responsibility will be to organize and drive end to end system and user testing for the program and manage a project/Workstream within the program.

Job specification/Key responsibilities:

o    Manage the end to end planning and execution of system testing and user acceptance testing working closely with technology and operations users.

o    Develop end to end test plan and approach

o    Ensure system stack readiness to support testing

o    Work closely with Operations and Technology team members to review test case documents, track testing outputs against requirements and resolve issues.

o    Escalate issues to program manager in a timely manner.

o    Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.

o    Organize status meetings and send status reports

o    Ensure timely delivery of different testing milestones

o    Work closely across business, operations and technology stakeholders to understand requirements  and drive key project initiatives

o    Gather and document requirements as required, track, report and communicate progress

o    Ensures issues that may compromise service quality, control, delivery deadlines are escalated to senior managers as appropriate

Experience/Skills:

o    Bachelors degree

o    Experience and product knowledge of OTC Clearing and/or Futures Clearing business

o    Knowledge of SunGard (GMI) system preferred

o    Minimum 5 to 7  years experience as a project/test manager in the financial services industry

o    Experienced user of MS Office product suite

o    Strong planning and organizational skills

o    Strong communication skills. Given the large number and very varied stakeholders in program, the candidate must be confident in their communications and understanding of how to communicate to different audiences.

o    Strong influencing skills

o    Confident and self motivated individual with a proactive approach and ability to work independently.

o    Assumes leadership responsibility and demonstrates ownership of tasks / delivery

o    Proven ability to work in a team environment, and develop and manage relationships.

o    Proven project management skills, including planning, issue / risks management, resource management,

o    Hands on, detail oriented delivery project manager experienced in running all phases of a system development project lifecycle, including user testing.
