Solid Oracle RAC
Experience Migrating Systems
Exadata and GoldenGate experience is a must
1- Port from Mainframe DB2 into Oracle (100 terabytes worth of credit reporting data)
2- “Oracle farm” – Oracle data base across physical servers, moving off HP to UCS Blades as well as virtual machines
3- “Strategic Refresh” – Built new network, moving applications from old network to new. Some DB2 to Oracle, some Oracle to Oracle
4- Peoplesoft Effort underway – billing modules, upgrade of HR/Financials; building out those platforms currently
This position applies to Oracle databases running on the Linux OS and Exadata. The candidate is viewed as an expert in database analysis and development. Undertakes complex database projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous database issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Ensures that database changes are successfully implemented and verified. Establishes and communicates common database goals and directions for the project team. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. At least 7 years of Oracle DBA, OCP is preferred, Exadata and GoldenGate experience is a must.
