Title: Hadoop Administrator

Location: Austin TX

Duration : 8 Months

·         Hadoop Administrator with strong Linux background

·         Strong understanding of the Hadoop platform and ecosystem (preferably MapR distribution)

·         Experience in cluster management, setup & support/maintenance & testing, Deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster,

             configure name-node high availability, schedule and configure it and take backups

·         Excellent knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components such as Hive, HBase, Zookeeper, Pig, Sqoop, Solr, Spark

·         Installing and managing various database and ETL tools as per the team requirement

·         Minimum 1 year managing, tuning and sizing a Hadoop cluster in an operational environment

·         Strong knowledge about Map-Reduce and HDFS
