Elekta’s growing software development engineering team has opportunities for senior quality engineers in development and testing of new and existing products. Our product teams thrive in a scaled, agile environment.  Architects, product owners, designers and developers collaborate closely to rethink and reimagine. We need your expertise to create software that is simple, elegant and easy to use. We want to make sure that physicians spend their time fighting cancer, not software.

Responsibilities

• Implement, conduct, and document test solutions for software applications
• Test  within Agile philosophy and Scrum methodology
• Assist with escalations of customer issues and required
• Participate in activities for improving engineering practices, tools, infrastructure and other quality system processes and deliverables
• Guide teams and develop strategies for testing, test documentation; guide and mentor test and quality engineers
• Develop and use automated test tools and practices; partner with development engineers to produce design-for-test software
• Participate in day-to-day scrum activities for the team; work with Scrum team members to design and develop tests
• Maintain a current, working knowledge of  technical and quality requirements; comply with Quality Management System requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Solid test engineer with six years of software development and testing experience including knowledge of software testing methodology and strategy and revision control
• Ability to develop and mentor team members and guide technical direction of teams
• Skilled in concurrent test method and execution development
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field of study
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Desired Skills & Experience

• Previous experience with medical software including radiotherapy planning and treatment systems and/or  imaging systems 
• Knowledge of testing software in a regulated (ISO and FDA) environment
• Knowledge of .NET, C++
• ISTQB certification
